Adult education offers participants a stepping stone to brighter futures through classes that prepare them to earn a GED and/or transition to college or the workforce. The college offers these free basic and secondary-level instruction for adults at locations in the following counties: Clarke, Elbert, Greene, Hart, Madison, Morgan, Oconee, Oglethorpe, Taliaferro, Walton, and Wilkes. Adult Education & Outreach served 2,011 individuals in healthcare, community centers, organizations, schools, universities, and congregations in 2016-2017. AEO served more than 300 ASL students in classes on and offsite as well as in local schools.

Chamber Music Northwest’s Education and Community Engagement programs make exciting music accessible to all members of our community through discounted tickets for adults 26 - 35, free community concerts, free open rehearsals, free musical conversations, free conversations with the composer, and free masterclasses.

Adult Education In 1990, under the leadership of Governor Zell Miller, the state launched the Certified Literate Community Program (CLCP) as a means of combating the problems of low literacy. The new program was placed in the Office of Adult Education at the Technical College System of Georgia . Adult Education Mission The Outreach & Workforce Development Office is committed to providing a comprehensive variety of high quality technical programs, educational services and leadership training that reflect the learning interests of our local population.
